2019 Leadership Scholars
For Chick-fil-A, investment in its Team Members goes beyond wages. We want to provide Team Members with not only essential job skills and leadership development in the restaurant, but also help them receive the best education to support their career – whatever they choose to do in the future.
Truett Cathy established the Chick-fil-A Leadership Scholarship in 1973. This marked the beginning of the scholarship program that encourages Chick-fil-A employees to further their education for a bright and promising future. Today, the program still remains strong, as Chick-fil-A Corporate (based in Atlanta, Georgia) earmarks a portion of its proceeds to give back to Team Members across the nation.
In 2019, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will award $15.34 Million in Team Member Scholarships. More than 6,000 Team Members across the Country will receive a $2,500 scholarship. Students who receive the scholarship can attend whatever school they choose, as the scholarship can be used at any accredited two-or-four-year college, university, or technical/vocational school.
In addition to scholarships, Chick-fil-A Team Members have access to tuition discounts and other educational benefits at 100 colleges and universities across the country.
At Chick-fil-A Coliseum Boulevard, we are pleased to announce that eight of our Team Members have received the $2,500 Leadership Scholarship. In addition to this Corporate Sponsored Scholarship, the Chick-fil-A Coliseum Boulevard operator Jeff Hoffman will award three Team Members with a $500 Operator Scholarship.
